Caosophía
I always thought I needed a very specific focus before exposing myself like this, but then I realized that that makes no sense! Everything is connected and separating things is what has disconnected us from realizing that we are one big network. (Just like mycelium, and neurons, and the cosmos!)
So this project is an extension of my brain, my life, and my communities.
It is me, and the many beautiful beings who have taught me so much along the way, sharing with you all the knowledge we’ve gained and wisdom we’ve uncovered in a way that I hope can serve as tools for your personal evolution and thus as evolution for our communities.
Because I believe that we are Heaven and Earth, this will include connecting the two. I will dive into the known science of growing mushrooms, agriculture, natural systems and more, as well as invite you to connect with the intangible to uncover our most authentic selves through self observation and reflection using a wide variety of tools and methods.
About me…
My name is Jenny Ferreiras, and I am a multifaceted individual, most prominently an Environmental Scientist, mycologist, and teacher among other roles.
I grew up in NYC to a Dominican family who raised me to be bilingual. As you can imagine, growing up in a concrete jungle was intense but also wildly inspiring. Everyone I knew was from a wildly different culture and there was so much creativity. From there I went off to Cornell University where I pursued my passions for the environment, both natural and man-made and began my international travel. Upon graduating I accidentally committed to the backpacker bit fulltime and ended up in a 7 year cycle between California/ NY/ Mexico where I found my power, my tribes, and continued to grow mushrooms, a magical gift the universe originally brought to me in highschool.
I’ve never much been for the status quo because it always entailed hiding so many parts of myself. I thrive on experiencing life, and inspiring others by sharing knowledge and wisdom to help them embrace their authentic selves and reconnect with their body, mind, and souls and balance their polarities through inner work and connection with the environment.
I connect the tangible to the intangible, exploring topics like mushroom cultivation, sustainability, medicine making, self observation and reflection, and community building, while integrating earth, wind, fire, and water, my ancestors, spiritual entities, higher self, mother Earth, sounds, vibrations, silence, stillness, divination, dream work, sacred geometry, alchemy, the I-ching, astrology and genes codes, and so much more to guide me through a process of inner evolution, strengthen my relationships, bring about my creations, and be a authentic part of a whole.
I believe that change starts in our personal lives, and by weaving our work together we form support structures we can build our present and future realities on. Let’s be the network together.
